Roles and responsibilities 

Role and Responsibility
Quality Planning, Analysis, Testing and Evaluation through team work with continual improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of processes related to inward raw materials, in-process materials, finished materials and new product development for Hot Metal DS and De-Oxidation of Steel in Steel Making Shop equipped with External Desulphurisation Station, BOF/EAF, LRF, VD/RHD and CCM/SC/CSP.
Experience in formulating result oriented strategies for the escalation in the product-quality and manufacturing plan and its execution with resource management (Quality Control / Shop Floor Control) for attaining the defined goals.
Knowledge of market needs, which influence Product & Technology Development as well as ensure co-operation and information sharing between R&D and Marketing & Sales by development of Technical Capabilities as well as knowledge transfer within the organisation.
Good Communication skills with proven abilities of team management, client relationship management & possess interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills.


To Review & examine quality requirements in detail for incoming materials, in-process materials and finished products related to Hot Metal Desulphurisation and De-Oxidation of Steel including New Product Development through laboratory and plant trials to meet various physical, chemical and metallurgical specifications to formulate and follow a definite Quality Plan.

Review & examine in-process inspection and test results of various materials (input as well as output) with respect to their specifications.


Control of non-conforming product by suitable identification & review process to clear it for further processing, reworking or rejecting and to take corrective and preventive actions by proper investigation of non-conformity.


Develop the teams capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the roles.

Implement Quality Management Systems, Work & Service Standards.


Provide support on Technical and Service related issues to Customer queries / complaints.
