Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare weekly and daily production plan as per monthly production targets. Perform & execute production planning for Bar Mill through
discussion with plant PPC, for the day as per the daily production plan
Review and analyse daily process log sheet & accordingly plan & execute corrective and preventive measures for operations (reduction in
losses, unplanned breakdowns)
Monitor daily production output as per the plan and prioritize production sequences(stacking, packaging, counting etc.) in order to minimise
the cost of consumables for strapping of TMT Bar Bundle
Investigate equipment-related breakdowns and consequently identify measures to increase MTBF & decrease MTTR for the plant
Periodically assess Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) to identify & implement proactive measures for achievement of reduction in
inventory levels of spares and consumables
Review the status of bottlenecks (Ex-Bundle Handling thickness, mill diversions, quality issues etc.) to plan corrective action-planning so as to
minimize deviations and downtimes in plant operations
Proactively identify and implement process/system- improvement initiatives to optimize overall operational costs for production,
consumables consumption, utility & related services.
Ensure timely organization of technical trainings to regularly up-skill technical personnel to drive higher productivity
Supervise team of 30-40 employees directly/indirectly (13 executives) to ensure Bar Mill output as per production plan
Communicate with multiple internal teams including PPC, Purchase etc. to ensure smooth work-flow to enable optimal yield
Convince & persuade team to implement better work-practices (TPM, Kaizen etc.) to achieve higher overall productivity & quality
Knowledge & Experience
Typical role requires a professional experience of 10-15 years in handling Bar Mill related operations
Deep knowledge & experience of bar Mill Operations, process chemistry, & economics, & de-bottlenecking
