Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
Execute monitoring of DRI production parameters on an hourly basis and escalate deviations to Shift In-charge and Area In-charge basis
specific situations
Deliver on daily production targets as per plans set out for the department by following defined SOPs
Carry out continuous recording of parameters in order to ensure DRI quality for Mettalization%, Mettalic Fe%, Carbon% etc.; report any
deviations to Shift In-charge and recommend corrective actions
Prepare detailed daily log reports, carry out entry on SAP production module and check attendance of contractual manpower
Ensure smooth shift change over and carry forward pending maintenance jobs from previous shift
Ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for seamless operations of DRI Plant unit
Provide support to maintenance team, shift in-charges to resolve on going production loss issues and implement process improvement
initiatives to decrease MTTR and increase MTBF
Direct 10-15 indirect contractual staff workers for task execution and provide support to Shift Incharge to maximize shift productivity
Interact with and explain to shift team members the need for proper usage of safety equipment in the plant and ensure regulatory and legal
compliance to health, safety and environment norms
Communicate with internal teams such as maintenance for ensuring adherence to operational preventive maintenance compliance and
minimize operational delays
Knowledge and experience
Typical role requires a experience of 3-7 years in handling DRI Plant operations, along with a diploma/bachelors degree in engineering
Knowledge & experience of DRI Operations, process chemistry and awareness of latest technological developments and national practices
being followed in DRI operations & process control
