Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
Evaluate patients(nearby villages, employees and their families) to determine their medical condition by carrying out physical
examinations(medical history) for establishing diagnosis and treatment plan at the Occupational Health Center
Carry out pre-employment check-up(Form 5 & Form 21 under Factories Act) for contractual workers & employees, annual health check-up for
employees and mini check-up for short job workers
Provide primary treatment, curative treatment & physician care(OPD) on an outpatient basis & pre-operative care in case of a minor
surgery/accidents at occupational health centers; Refer to Hospitals in Ranchi for those medical treatments not provided at OHC
Ensure uploading & updating of health records of employees & contractor workers on C.G. Government portal with the help of the HR department
Carry out maintenance of health-related documents(IME/PME), first aid box, ambulance, physiotherapy machines, medicines, OHC equipment
etc. throughout the plant
Perform periodical medical examination of employees under the Factories Act, 1948(Form 21) in-house utilizing pathogen and X-Ray lab at Patratu
Delivery of care, treatment & referrals to Hospitals in Ranchi (for those medical specialties not provided by the Organization)
Prepare forms, letters, and examinations on behalf of patients for claims of disability, workmen's compensation, injuries and illnesses
Supervise and educate nursing staff, physiotherapist and doctor(21 employees direct and indirect, 2 executives)
Maintain a high standard of medical practice and participate in the training & development of the medical team(physiotherapist, doctor & staff)
Organize health check-up camps(ENT, dental check-up, blood donation drive, etc.), awareness camps by forging tie-ups with hospitals
Ensure compliance to all provisions in the Factories Act, 1948, OHSAS 18001 and provide input to HOD for same
Interact with internal departments such as HR, F&A, Procurement, etc. to ensure smooth functioning of healthcare facilities and government
officer (Factories Medical Officer etc.)about health-related legal compliance
Explain various issues, problems as well as propose solutions & initiatives for patient's health and well-being.

Knowledge & Experience
The typical role requires a professional experience of 10 years with medical background & awareness of the latest developments & national practices
